About Us
Utah Foster Care Foundation's 1st annual Chalk Art Festival was held on Father's Day weekend 2003 on Rio Grande Street at The Gateway in Downtown Salt Lake City.
The Festival attracts more than 120 artists aged 12+ and more than 17,000 visitors each year and transforms The Gateway into a live entertainment and street painting celebration.
However, the Chalk Art Festival is much more than a gallery of art and two days of live entertainment. In addition, the Festival helps the Foundation create a greater level of awareness of the need for foster and adoptive parents through community involvement and participation in the dozens of activities available at The Festival.
The Chalk Art Festival gives artists of all ages the opportunity to explore and create their dreams on pavement...whether those dreams are for fame, fortune...or a family. The festival is an opportune time to learn about ways you can help Utah Foster Care Foundation and the 2600 children in foster care in Utah.
